As Prime Contractor we were able to complete this project that spanned over 3 separate properties in Southern Illinois. The goal of the project was to eliminate the safety hazards created by the presence of 39 vertical openings believed to have been caused by past mining activity in the area. This task was accomplished for larger shafts by excavation and rebuilding of sub surface with Rip Rap, Aggregate, Portland Cement & Furnished Excavation. While the smaller sinkholes were filler with approximately 17,000 tons of Rip Rap. Restoration and revegetation completed the return of the disturbed are to pre-construction condition.
